Well, with 5 days to go before departure, the challenge starts at home...Air Maroc apparently allows only 20 kg of luggage (2 years ago it was 30 kg), which is fine if you're going for a beach holiday. The challenge we have is not just bringing the regular travel gear, but also the complete equipment of the average enduro rider. Pants, chest protector, gloves, shirts, knee pads, camelbag, etc.. And the cherries on the cake are the motorcross boots and the helmet. Both are heavy and bulky and a nightmare to put in your luggage.
So I end up with one big bag for check-in, and a smaller hand luggage bag with helmet and some other stuff. I just hope I get passed the checkpoints without problems..."Sir, what are you going to do with that helmet, goggles and gloves on the plane ? hmmm ???"..
